How to Rectify Your Birth Time Using Ruling Planets and Life Events

Step 1: Gather Initial Data

You need: (a) the recorded birth time (even if approximate), (b) exact birth location (city, state, country), and (c) at least 3 significant life events with exact dates — marriage, first job, birth of child, major illness, or foreign travel.

Step 2: Ruling Planet Analysis

When you sit down to rectify, note the current Ruling Planets — these are the Lagna Lord (L), Star Lord (S), Rashi Lord (R), and Day Lord (D). The principle: the universe confirms the correct birth time through the Ruling Planets active at the moment of sincere inquiry.

Step 3: Cusp Linkage Verification

Check whether the Ascendant Cusp Sub Lord in the proposed chart belongs to the star of a planet that is connected to the Ruling Planets. This is called Cusp Linkage. If the linkage is strong (RL, STL, SL all matching), the proposed time has high confidence.

Step 4: Event Verification

For each major life event, check: Was the Dasha-Bhukti lord at that date connected to the relevant houses? For marriage, check 2-7-11 connection. For job, check 2-6-10 connection. If 3 or more events match, the rectified time is confirmed.
