Ruling Planets (RP) are one of the most powerful and unique tools in KP Astrology. They represent the planets that are "ruling" the moment — the current Lagna Lord (L), Moon's Star Lord (S), Moon's Rashi Lord (R), and Day Lord (D). These four planets act as the universe's confirmation of which events are likely to manifest.
The LSRD System Explained
| Component | What It Is | Significance |

How Ruling Planets Confirm Events
When you analyze a birth chart and find that an event (say, marriage) is promised by certain Dasha-Bhukti lords, you check: Are the Dasha-Bhukti lords present in the current Ruling Planets? If yes, the event is confirmed and will manifest during the current period. If not, the event may be delayed or denied.
Practical Application: Timing Marriage
Suppose your chart shows marriage is promised during Jupiter Dasha, Venus Bhukti. You check: Is Jupiter or Venus present in the current Ruling Planets? If Jupiter appears as the Day Lord and Venus as the Moon's Star Lord, the confirmation is strong — marriage is imminent.
